A new tool from the mobility analytics company StreetLight Data maps bike and pedestrian data in much more detail, using machine learning to analyze location data from mobile phones and understand how many people are walking, biking, or driving on any particular street throughout the day.

The new Bike and Pedestrian Essentials offers complete, stand-alone access to key industry big data for transportation metrics for these modes, previously offered only as part of StreetLight’s premium Multimode software tier.

Maine transportation agencies purchased a subscription to Streetlight Data services to gather detailed transportation data, reported in the Portland Press Herald.
