Read success storyThe Northern Louisiana Coalition of Governments (NLCOG) wanted to reduce congestion, improve travel time, and upgrade road safety for their regional multimodal transportation network. Planners needed to determine where, why, and when traffic flow was slowing down.
StreetLight provided traffic flow metrics and helped NLCOG planners integrate data for use in a GIS environment. Planners were able to pinpoint six miles of roadway out of the 168 studied with severe congestion, allowing them to prioritize improvements—especially congestion that impacted transit services.
